Master Rachael Evans

Master Rachael Evans is the chief instructor at MAPI, with over 20 years of martial arts experience. A fifth degree black belt, Master Evans teaches a unique style of her own creation that blends Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, soft boxing, and Wing Chun in a challenging and positive learning environment.

Inspired by Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon, Ms. Evans first studied Shito-ryu as a youth. Since then, martial arts has been a constant in her life through a journey that includes management, music, bookkeeping, and the Marine Corps. She took her first Tae Kwon Do class from Master Mark Karasek in Twenty-nine Palms, CA and studied under him for 5 years before returning to Seattle to teach.

Ms. Evans opened Quantum Martial Arts on Capital Hill in Seattle in March of 1995 with just 10 students and 8,000 square feet of space. Since then, the school has grown to well over 100 students and moved to its current larger location in north Seattle. In 2000, Mr. Karasek attended the school's first black belt testing for two of Ms. Evans' earliest students.
